About Our Founder

Michael H. Goldberg, CEO
B.S. New York University: J.D. St. John's University School of Law

After completing his law degree, Michael joined the Securities and Exchange Commission. In 1973, he joined the American Basketball Association as General Counsel and guided the merger with the NBA with his late partner Peter Kaplan. In 1981, Michael founded NMG and built it into a highly respected service company serving the needs of a wide variety of companies wishing to promote their products or services through sports related tie-ins. His connection with leaders of the professional sports leagues, television networks, and the business community has helped shape NMG into one of the leading independent sports & event companies in the country. He currently also serves as Executive Director of both the NBA Coaches Association and NHL Coaches Association and represents many sports television broadcasters, producers and directors.
