NMG’s extensive regional staffing network and sports collectibles expertise was put to the test when the company developed the Autographics trading card promotion for client Fleer/SkyBox in 1996.

To ensure authenticity of every autographed trading card the company procured, NMG developed an authentication process and staffed nearly 1000 autograph sessions with NBA, WNBA, NFL and MLB players from 1996-99. More than 1.5 million trading cards were signed and inserted into packs of SkyBox trading cards during the life of the program.

As a result of the guaranteed authentication process, which was not utilized by any of the company’s competitors, Autographics cards became among the industry’s most collectible autographed trading cards and one of the most popular.

"Thanks to our experienced regional program managers, I can not think of another company that could undertaken this venture and executed so flawlessly and in such a cost-effective manner for a client," admits NMG VP Doug Drotman. "Due to player schedules and deadlines we were forced to practically have representative on-call 24-hours a day from Portland, Main to Portland Oregon and everywhere in between. We staffed session in player’s homes, hotels, airports, gyms, locker rooms and nearly every place imaginable."
